Winter Warmwear for Little Girls
Fall is officially here! Translation: time to start thinking about all things warm and cozy… PSL’s, sweater weather, backyard bonfires, and swapping out the spring/summer wardrobe for the fall/winter bins. Having experienced a white out snowfall on Halloween just two years ago here in Chicago, I don’t think it’s ever too early to start thinking about the warm wear situation, especially for my girls who outgrow so much season to season!

One project we have been needing to work on since school started back up is the girl’s shared closet space. Taking inventory and organizing all of their things has reignited my love of capsule wardrobe planning. For me personally, having less pieces that we love more and that work well together, is just so much less stressful!
In my hunt for capsule warmwear pieces for the girls, I was looking for both cute and practical, things that would layer well, and pieces that would take them from fall into winter this year. If you are looking for little girlies of your own, look no further! If you are a boy mama, many of these pieces come in boy/gender neutral colorways as well.
I’ll leave you with my mama tip for warmwear, always size up if you can! I do this for coats and boots to make things last a little longer. It’s easier to layer up with an extra sweater or pair of socks that way as well, and often times my girls can wear last years coats the following fall until our new pieces arrive to swap out!
Happy fall and winter shopping, mamas!
